ESWATINI’S LETHUMUSA DROPS MASTERFUL DEBUT ALBUM ‘LETHUMUSA’: A REVOLUTIONARY FUSION OF AFRO HOUSE, 3-STEP, AND AMAPIANO
MBABANE, ESWATINI – October 23, 2026 – Today marks a tectonic shift in the African electronic music landscape as visionary Eswatini-born DJ and producer Lethumusa Simelane officially unleashes his self-titled debut album,
"LETHUMUSA."
Fresh off a prestigious mentorship program facilitated by the African Rising Music Conference (ARMC) in partnership with the German Embassy, this highly anticipated body of work bridges the gap between raw heritage and global dancefloors.
LETHUMUSA is a breathtaking, 12-track sonic tapestry that seamlessly fuses the driving rhythms of Afro House, the forward-thinking bounce of 3-Step, and the log-drum infectiousness of Amapiano. Rooted deeply in Swati heritage, the album explores profound themes of identity, spirituality, love, and cultural pride.
In a powerful statement of artistic sovereignty, LETHUMUSA features a tracklist collaborative effort exclusively comprising local Eswatini talent. The project unites a powerhouse ensemble of Swazi musicians, including Nolwethu Nelisiwe Mkhatshwa, Nelson Xolani Mbingo, Ncuselezulu Dlamini, Thandolwethu M. Masuku, Phumelela Judah Silitshena, and Mzwandile Seedwell Dlamini, among other brilliant local visionaries. The striking, evocative cover art was designed by Ntsika Ngcamphalala (@your.ou_ntsika).
To celebrate today's global release, LETHUMUSA has also dynamic dropped the official music video for the standout fourth track, “BAMBELELA” (featuring Hapkoo, Umzi, and Pretty Hle). Following an exclusive, intimate listening session in July, the album arrives with massive creative momentum, proving that Eswatini is a major incubator for the future of African music.
With this definitive debut, LETHUMUSA doesn't just invite the world to dance—he invites audiences to experience a deeply personal evolution that honors his roots while permanently carving out his place in the global music pantheon.
